Bio
People and creativity are central to everything Emma does. The dappled light of the forest seems to infuse everything she shoots. There's no escaping that magical texture and light. Her work brimming with optimism, magic and honesty.
From the stillness of an empty film set to the vibrant chaos of my childhood home, storytelling has always been where I found my magic. Growing up surrounded by eccentric characters, our door was always open, and the dream of becoming a storyteller behind the lens, ignited.
The journey has been anything but conventional. I've lived in mansions and slept on floors, moved $10 million cash, and found myself at the centre of a bank robbery video. I've been a missing person, mingled both with the infamous and famous, bought bananas from an old lady in a tree, and spooned baby tigers. Swum with elephants, been mugged by one (and a monkey), attended a wedding with a werewolf, vampire, and mummy. I now continue life’s adventures with a young family and working on briefs for some of the largest and smallest organisations around.
With a diverse background spanning youth, HMUA, interior styling, finance, and marketing, to name a few, I’ve worn many hats. This eclectic experience fuels my passion for photography and the people I meet through it. Each moment, a brushstroke on the canvas of how I see culture and humanity.
There’s always a personal project in the pipeline and I collaborate with those grounded in philanthropic values, aiming to inspire social and environmental change and ensure everyone, especially rangatahi, see themselves represented and celebrated.
